A funny funny riddle.

And let me just say: John was know for bad haircuts, but that’s the WORST!

Am I the only one who finds it a little strange that a poster named delphica seems to have a bit of a problem about being presented with riddles?

Don’t ask me! I’m outta this thread. And I know better than to suggest that the audience couldn’t clap on the backbeat because they were all, well, you know who went to John Denver concerts.

Yeah, that’s right. John Denver fans.

And Delphica, to let you know I am as big a troll in real life as I am here I see groans as at least equaling laughs.

Ha! Yes, you’re right. Still, I strongly suspect that after everyone left, the Pythia would haul herself off the tripod and groan “I can’t believe they fell for it again! It’s like shooting fish in a barrel!”

[sub]Generally speaking, “shooting fish in a barrel” was not an overly common expression in ancient Greece, because shooting fish with a bow and arrow is somewhat difficult seeing as you’ve got to get yourself and your equipment positioned up over the top of the barrel, but she was using her gift of prophecy to see the ease with which it could be done using modern firearms.[/sub]

They play it at Devil Rays games to honor the team’s patron and chief sponsor, the Devil. It’s one of his favorite songs.

The tune also has an undeniable demoralizing effect on opponents, when they realize just what sort of mentality they are confronted with. “Yee-hah! Yeah, thank God I’m a country boy! Thank God I live in the Tampa Bay area! Thank God I can root for the only team with *so much regional pride * that it’s named for a *featureless body of water * instead of an actual city or state! Thank God I get to look at this thing to boost my morale! Thank you, God; oh thank you so much!!!

I dunno. I kinda like the idea of Zombie John Denver stomping and clapping to his own music…

So, basically what we’re saying is that Baltimorons have either no rhythm or no taste in music?

or both
