The full bit was they are natural fibers used extensively in WW II, as opposed to now. So I’ll list the facts and give a good enough on the answer. All are natural fibers used in WW II. Milkweed silk for life vests. The sap was experimented on as a rubber substitute Nettle fiber for textile and rope. Extracts for green uniform dye and camouflage face paint. Hemp for textile and rope. Japan supplied most of the worlds cotton prior to WW II. Rayon is an extruded cellulose made from mostly wood fiber, that was in great use in WW II. ---
