Another Frazz fan, here. Get Fuzzy usually cracks me up, but I love Frazz. Some days I swear Calvin grew up to be a songwriter/school janitor. ---

i want tuna! i want tuna! my fav. was the one where rob and satchel are teasing bucky over his religion, catolic, pussbyterian, etc. i howled over geek orthodox!!! hey! people aren’t supposed to know about us. ---

I just wanted to say that I love Get Fuzzy! It’s filled a void in my life, which appeared after Watterson and Larson hung up their pens. I remember when Satchel got his cast off. Rob commented on how Satchel’s limb which had been under the cast smelled a lot like sauerkraut. Satchel sniffs his newly uncovered limb and comments “I think I would like sauerkraut!” ---

By coincidence, I was reading someone’s desk calendar earlier today that had “Get Fuzzy” strips. The one that made me laugh the most was an early one where Stachel and Bucky had just returned from butterfly collecting with nets. Satchel was all bandaged up and Rob asked him what happened. Satchel responded “I tried to catch what I thought was a monarch butterfly but which may in retrospect have belonged to a different species.” After he leaves the room, Rob asks Bucky what really happened. Bucky says, “He netted a buzzard. It was hilarious.” ---

That last line has become my catch-all comeback for many occasions. ---

Satchel has the best throw-away lines ever. He’s so funny. I have one on my fridge where Rob is yelling at the two of them to hurry up and come on, and Satchel says Bucky is laying on the floor and won’t come. Rob says to just pick him up, and it cuts back to Satchel and Bucky. Bucky is laying on his back, all four legs in the air, and Satchel says, “But he’s laying pointy-side up!” I also have an older one where they’re on a subway train, Bucky in his front carrier and Satchel looking scared. Bucky says, “The subway is always full of weirdos!” and Rob is shushing him. The other people on the subway seat are other well-known comic characters: Calvin and Hobbes, Dilbert, Steve from _Bloom County_ in the full-body cast, and a couple of others. Makes me giggle every time I look at it. ---

I love Pearls Before Swine and Get Fuzzy. I started reading Pearls when Atlas showed up, I even cut them out to keep sometimes. Pig: Who are you? Atlas: I’m Atlas. I carry the world on my shoulders. But lately, it’s grown much too heavy. Pig: Just rest it on the counter there I’m sure it’ll be fine. Atlas: Thanks man… _phew_ What a relief Last panel captioned ‘Somewhere in Antarctica’ with a couple of flat people and a penguin. ---
