Weirdness of the day: Some old fart wanted to pick a fight with me, of all places, in a WallyWorld pharmacy line. I seem to have offended him by publicly calling him out for line jumping. :rolleyes: My offensive statement? “The line is behind me, Bub.” :dubious: I kept my mouth clean; he cussed me out. I did flip him off when I left, however… 😃 ---

I am contemplating ice cream. Last night I ate BAD ice cream. I tried to kill it with Oreos and M&Ms, but I couldn’t even eat it with that. Hopefully tonight’s ice cream will be better.😃 ---

**YARGH!!!** Regular readers may recall how I’ve been in pain for the past three weeks, and that I went to see the doctor last week. Doc says it’s probably an L4 radiculopathy, writes me an Rx for one of the newer anti-inflammatory meds and for some physical therapy. Before I get home, there’s a message from the pharmacy that the Rx is rejected by my insurance, which we expected, so the doc needs to tell them once again “I am the physician, you are at best, an accoutant.” I still don’t have the meds. Meanwhile, the referral for PT crawls along. They call me to tell me that the next appointment is not until mid-December. And that the referral is screwed up so badly that they can’t even put me on a wait list for cancellations. Call the doctor’s office to follow up on the Rx and the PT. He’s out until next week. Makes me want to go out and kick the lawnmower. ---

Hi everyone. 🙂 **Smarty** , that Pratchett is a handsome kitteh! Wonder if **SpecialOne** is back at home yet? Today was -busy- for me at work; I had three days worth to catch up on. 😛 So I stayed about an hour later and made some credit time (especially good as I’m planning to take the whole day on election day–I’m nervous about too many people and long lines!!!). The best part is that there’s still more stuff for me to work on tomorrow, yay! I know, this sounds warped but it actually is a good thing; otherwise, I’d be working on making files :smack: I am, though, very happy that tomorrow is **Firday**. ---

The PT department I was referred to is attached to a hospital, so they’re busy. I got the impression that if I needed post-op PT, they’d be able to take me in right away. At least I didn’t kick the lawnmower. Last thing I need is a broken foot. (Or a broken mower!) ---

started to try to catch up, failed miserably We get to dress up in costume tomorrow - BUT we’re not allowed to wear jeans :rolleyes: I found a patches-clown outfit I made about 20 years ago - the pants fit, but the top may not - but I have no clown wig. I do, however, have a very Hallowe’en themed shirt - I think I’ll ear that and be done with it. but no jeans (even tho I asked, and was told I wouldn’t get written up - I’m just curious to see how many try to get away with it…) I’d like to go on record as stating I categorically hate the new casual performance costume. Black pants, white man-tailored shirt, and red striped barbershop vest. The vest is just this much too short - If I stand perfectly still, it sorta kinda hides some unsightly bulges - but we never, ever tnd perfectly still. The new dressy performance costume promises to be really beautiful - I shall post pics as soon as I can.
