I’m more of a happy lime: a little sweet and a little tart. 😃 Happy Thanksgiving to our northern neighbors. Happy day off to the 'Merrikans who get it. I’m working on a EoY project today. A little boring, but it beats having nothing to do. I have to swing by the horsepistol after irk to visit my neighbor. He had a mini stroke last evening. He isn’t much older than I am, but does heavy manual labor for a living and takes lousy care of himself. ☹ I told him he had better follow doctor’s orders because I didn’t want to have to break in a new neighbor. 😛 ---

What a morning! I haven’t gotten much done but its been interesting. I don’t know why the board hates me this morning but everything I post goes POOF! **Taters** I have thought about it and it’s an option. The hard part is getting people scheduled to help load and unload the truck. If I let OAOASO do it he will show up with strong sons and nephews and a truck big enough to haul everybody from one place to the other. If I rent a truck I’ll probably get people down here to load it and get him and his family to unload it. ---

So we found a title company that will handle the settlement except they want all four sisters to sign an agreement that they won’t come back and try to challenge the sale of the house later on. Of course getting all four of them to sign is probably not going to happen and Rebecca the bitchster in all of this mess is MIA from what I last heard. However another company may still handle the settlement but it can take up to another two weeks for them to get everything together. This has gone way beyond ridiculous and even though it’s hurting them more than it’s hurting me, I do not like living in limbo. Also because of this I can’t take advantage of any of the 90 days same as cash deals, and it is delaying my ability to get a phone. I’m eligible for an upgrade if I use a program where I finance the phone at 0% interest and there is no contract. It will show up on my credit report and I can’t have any changes to my credit report until after settlement. My phone is dying a slow death, I may have to go pull out an old phone to use until my actual upgrade date. Once again I feel like my life is being put on hold because of other people’s bullshit. It seems the HFH moved out so abruptly because of me - should I gloat? or feel guilty? Seems I was making them feel uncomfortable here because of my mouth. Oh well, too bad for them. I think my mother is not sorry they are gone and I know her bf is happy they are gone. He told me so. Then he wrote me a check as a house warming gift. Very unexpected and appreciated! ---

I made a cake. A chawklit sheetcake with chawklit icin’. The cake is a mix but I made the icin’ myself. Besides, I had to turn on the oven, so it counts as bakin’. I shall put the beastloaf in the oven around three cause it needs to cook (duh!). The mac 'n cheese just needs to hang out in the oven to get the cheese I put on top all melty. The peas are all good in the slow cooker. The cabbage won’t take long to steam up. Also, I shall make cornbread. When I get all domesticated in the kitchen, I don’t mess around. 😃 **sari** appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed everything goes good with the title and settlement this time around. **wetone** appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the surgery. **flytrap** it’s easy to get four sibs to agree in my family. Sis and I decide what should be and then we tell our older brothers who agree with whatever we say. ---

Appropriate for me, orange seems to have become the color for information security. I was at a trade show a couple years ago, and the number of companies with orange logos and orange hardware was striking. Squeeze me right now, and you’ll probably gat Faire boogers. (ick!) After four or five years in the Carolinas with humidity that you wear as much as endure, I’d forgotten just how dry it is here. But some nasal discomfort is a small price to pay. We’ve already lined up our next gig that starts next month. That place has a different sort of nasal discomfort - the Grand National Rodeo starts this weekend, so there’s likely to be some leftover smells from the critters when we start building and rehearsing in early November. ---

**swampy,** I sheepishly admit I like cake-mix cakes. 😛 I’ve found two recipes for pumpkin muffins. One of them involves cake mix. I wonder if I should try either of those recipes at some point this month. ---

I don’t get all the dissin’ for cake mixes. Near as I can tell, the difference between a mix and a scratch cake is the mix has the dry ingredients put together already. What’s the big deal about measuring flour, sugar, baking powder/soda, and salt? It’s not like you grow and grind your own wheat into flour, fercryinoutloud! THAT counts more as a scratch cake to my mind! Cookies are done. As soon as the last of the raisin-oatmeal cookies cool, they’ll be packed up, and whatever won’t fit in the container will be for snackage. The rest go with us to Ocala. Now I get to clean up the kitchen. Woo and Hoo!! :rolleyes: ---

Anyone got any ideas for dealing with breakroom beverage thieves? I’m thinking either food coloring (then see whose mouth is a weird color) or something like methylene blue (making their next restroom visit scary for them).
