Nothing from what I’ve heard. But one of his attorneys or someone connected with his case-I can’t remember. It was late- was talking about a mistrial. ---

OK, So I’ve had a long weekend to think about this. Why am I so mortally offended by this situation? Why the vituperation? I guess it boils down to: Failure of integrity. I spent close on half my life living integrity day in and day out. It was (and still is, apparently) more of a religion than my actual religion, in that it was everywhere about me, and those that possesed it were blessed, and those that were without were damned beyond redemption. I, and my fellows, swore an oath, as have the agents of the FBI, and to fail in that oath was (and again, still is) unforgivable. I swore to protect this country against all enemies, foriegn _and_ domestic, and I’ve just seen those enemies given reprieve by those whom should know better. I don’t have the vocabluary to express my rage at McVeigh and company. I do, just barely, have the vocabluary to express my anger at the FBI, but you’ve no idea what I’m like when I’m _really and truly pissed_. I don’t like going to that place; I’m scared of myself when I get there. McVeigh got to that place, and wouldn’t stop himself, didn’t care about the evil of what he intended. This FBI _Fuck-up_ may help others get to that place, and that scares me more: Many of these people have little, save circumstance, to stop them from doing real harm. **manhatten** I understand your desire to defend your friends, but from where I sit, there is no appropriate defense for this failure. If your friends didn’t play a role in this fiasco, then they need only bear the shame of belonging to an organization that failed it’s Trust. If they were responsible for delivering those missing documents to Counsel for the Defense, or for the supervision of those responsible, or for putting in place the checks necessary to prevent failure, or the oversight and verification of the adequacy of those checks, or are the Director, then they bear the full weight of my wrath and scorn. If any of you feel I’m over the top, well, so be it. ---

Damn it, **Tranquilis** , now I feel ill. I just finished reading The Daily Oklahoman and the coverage over this and the survivor’s feelings and was pretty damn upset along with them but those links and quotes you’ve posted above are just too much. I think I’m going to go cry now. ---
