# A Hotmail Question.

A “new” Hotmail.

Hooray. :rolleyes:

How do I get the post-change Hotmail to organize the messages in my Inbox by date?

Try as I may, I can’t get it to work.

Is there a way to switch back to the old Hotmail format?

Mine’s sorted by date by default. Does Hotmail not remember your settings if you click the ‘Date’ column?

No problems. I like the look of the new interface but I’m not at all convinced it’s any easier to use.

I’m not a fan of the new interface, but I noticed that they did improve their spam blockers 10-fold. I used to get over 100 emails a day, now it’s about 5. Awesome.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I don’t want to get too comfortable since I have this irrational fear that it will go back to the flooding of spam that it used to be.

Spam blocking is better, and a feature that I think is new is that if you are reading a message that resides in [Created Folder], on the message screen there are now links to Inbox and back to [Created Folder].

One new negative feature is that sometimes you can’t right-click a specific message to open it in a new window.
