So, my little truck died a while back. (I’m pretty sure I mentioned it here.) Well, yesterday we finally found a replacement. It’s 17 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee. It’s on the older side, and has a few quirks, but it should do the job. My wife has claimed it for her own, which is fine because our other car is a standard and she has slide the seat all the way forward to be able to reach the clutch, which puts her way too close to the steering wheel. All in all it feels good to have a second vehicle again. ---

Work went reasonably well.It’s freakin’ cold out, with a windchill. Now I have an ear worm. I roasted a chicken, sweet taters, some butter peas and field peas with snaps seasoned with bacon. That shall be our side to go with the cubed steaks and onion gravy and whatever else I come up with. Trying to plan ahead. Got \*\*HRH Lucky Louie \*\* a pedicure. Went to the grocery, cooked and cleaned and walked the dog. Just now have decided I am done. Me + new time not compatible. ---

Daughter dropped a not-too-unexpected bomb on us last night. She and her bf are engaged. They’re doing the courthouse thing in June. They’ve been together for almost 7 years, so it’s not really a surprise, but I kept hoping she’d find someone else. I don’t dislike her fiance - he’s nice enough, but I think the lazy is strong in him, as is the grasp of reality. He talks about getting an MBA. Right now, he’s got a GED and I honestly don’t know if he’s ever taken a college class. But I’m not marrying him. I’m still processing it. But she’s 31. It’s her life. If she’s OK mostly supporting him, that’s her choice. He is working. Part time. So there’s that… Kids - what ya gonna do?? Happy Firday Eve! 😛 ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 29 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 58 and N.O.S. for the day. On the plus side temps will start to warm up. Sattidy should be mid 70s. I shall make beef enchiladas for dindin, OLÈ, and well, not much else today. Sloth is big on today’s agenda. Tomorrow I shall be at the church house around five in the p.m. to do prep work for our big St. Patrick’s feast on Sattidy and Sattidy I shall be there most of the day into the evenin’. Always a fun event but lots of work with all the cookin’, set up, etc. Thus sloth today. **Ruble** love the song! 😃 **MOOOOOOM** ummmmmmm… congrats to FCDaughter, I guess. As you said her life and hope she’s happy with him. Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, I suppose I should purtify a bit and get on with the day. Happy Thorsday! It’s a N.O.S. 28 degrees outside. Supposed to warm up to 34. Tomorrow calls for it warming up to 47 degrees and more snow. I think the weather people are just trying to cover all bases so they can’t be wrong. I overslept this morning, and was 10 minutes late for irk. I didn’t get an email so I guess I’m good. I tried mel last night. It made me very sleepy, and I managed to sleep for three hours before I woke up. It was a deeper sleep than normal, no weird dreams that I remember. I finally fell back asleep this morning and then slept through the alarm. Yesterday was a sleepy day, so I need to catch up on some stuff. Going to play with fixing firefox some more. I like the squirrel revival **Ruble**. ---

Guess what!!! I decided to be productive. One load of laundry in the dryer and one in the washer. Go Me! Also, I have made up the enchiladas (OLÈ) for dindin. **FCM,** she’s 31, so I guess your daughter knows her own mind…not that it should stop you from giving her a piece of your own (nah, don’t do that). It’ll work or it won’t…but it’s her call. **Sunny,** hope all y’all get to doing better. **swampy,** I washed dishes and filled to weight bags (to anchor small soccer goals) with bags of pool salt yesterday, and I’m going out into the cold (40’s F) this afternoon to do my first coaching of the spring, so that is ambitious enough for me. Decided to coach two youth soccer teams this season, one girls and one boys, both with eleven 10-and 11-year olds. Oh joy. Schedules have a few conflicts which I’ve told the league about and practices will be Tues (girls) Wed (boys) Thur (girls) Fri (boys) and Saturday (games for both). Add in what refereeing I can manage and it looks like a busy March-April-May for yours truly. Have consumed my weekly BLT’s and need to do a bit of cleaning…but just a bit.
