Gabrielle update #1: Just had light rain shower; big puffy clouds, sunny at the moment, and normal strength winds out of the east. No biggie rght now. ---

I was awoken this AM by a cat attacking my feet at the ridiculously early hour of 6AM on Sunday. We made a deal - I get up and get her brekkie she leaves me alone for another couple hours. She is currently giving a toy spider with bells on the legs a good kicking! Beer thing was fun last night - lots of wine and beer samples and I ate waaaay to much good food. I have laundry on, coffee is making as we speak, litter box is cleaned then I have to wash the car and go to the grocery store, drop some stuff in the mail box and if I am really ambitious this afternoon I will tidy the garage. Overall a productive weekend 4 days till **MrEms-to-be** arrives - yay! We haven’t seen each other in 2 months so I am excited! 😃😃😃 ---

She was protecting you from the dreaded bed mice (that’s what my SIL called it, anyway) Speaking of kittenhood, now that she’s warmed up to you (she just had to get used to her new surroundings was all) isn’t time for some new pictures? ---

or New York, where only one team in any of the 4 major sports (9 teams all together) does well at any given time eta - the only time I can think of when this wasn’t true was 1986-87, when only basketball slipped through our collective fingers ---

The Cubs haven’t won the championship in a hundred years. The Lions haven’t got to the postseason in close to 15 years. They’ve levelled out (save the Yankees) since then. ---

**FCM** , you don’t understand – when Rusty lies on your feet and against your legs, that means he WUVS you! You’re his FRIEND! Also, he _always_ sits on people’s feet – the very first time I met him, G. brought him in my house, he took one look at me, spun in a happy circle, planted his bony butt on my feet, and gazed up at me adoringly. Little did I realize he does that with _everyone_. Stoopid dog! 😃 You reminded me of the other excitement I have today, **ems** – clean the litter box. Lucky me. :rolleyes: Bed mice! That’s the perfect name for it! Emily still does that; she’s as playful at 12 as she was at 1. Although she does sleep more; that’s honestly the only difference I can see in her behavior. She now sleeps 23.5 hours a day instead of 23.25. That’s a big difference in a cat, you know! 😃 ---

Groceries are got, 3rd load of laundry is on, lunch is almost ready - Baked potato with tuna, sweetcorn and mayo. Libby was chasing a new 99 cent rattling mouse around the house and now it appears it is nap time she on a dining chair and is out like a light…bless her! ---

Last load of laundry is in the washer. In a couple of hours, almost all of the clothing in this household will be clean. Yay. That’s about all I’ve accomplished. I’ve avoided the studio. I haven’t sewn. I haven’t run the vacuum. I haven’t loaded the dishwasher. I’m a bum. And I’m damn proud of it. 😃 ---

Evenin’ Y’all! Ya wanna talk bum? I have done… errr… ummmm… well… nuttin’ outside of ushin’ at church (where we had the biggest crowd in weeks, I know, because one of the ushin’ duties is to count who’s there so’s we can write down a number and stick it in the little wafer container thingy so’s the Priest knows how many little wafers to count out for Communion) and takin’ “Mom” (remember her, the birthday girl from last week?) out to lunch at Long John Silver’s. Hey, when I treat for lunch, it’s class all the way! 😃 What? We both _wanted_ the fish and chicken platter. Speakin’ of which did y’all know that LJS now has veggies (corn, green beans, okra, rice [ok, that’s not a veggie]) as alternatives to the usual coleslaw (which is a veggie) and french fries? I had the two piece fish and chicken, okra and green beans, with, of course, the hushpuppies and drink for lunch today. It filled me up so I have not wanted supper at all. Ok, maybe the three, four, five, heck, maybe six bloody mary’s I’ve had is part of the reason I don’t want supper. I promise no more though after maybe this this next one or two. 😛 Know what I forgot to do today? Read the Sunday paper! I noticed a little bit ago it was still layin’ up on my kitchen counter in its little plastic wrapper from when I went out and brought it in this mornin’. Poor thang! Bet it feels all neglected! I mean, it’s 6:40 P.M. Eastern Daylight Amurrkin time as I post and I ain’t even read the Sunday funnies yet! What is this world comin’ to! :eek: Maybe I’ll read 'em tomorrow. ---

Stoopid Bears, losing to San Diego, made me drink more of the beer that the Kid’s man brought to watch the game with. Now we’re starting a Die Hard marathon - at least I & III, the middle one I’m kind of so-so on. Good thing there’s more beer. ---
