Howdy Y’all! Da cave is all spiffed and I’m all washed and fed. I’ve got a sinus headache though. I think soon I will doctor myself, crawl into bed and watch tv til I fall asleep. **Bobbio** , we have seen pictures and are confident that the flirting would be returned, however platonically. Is it any wonder that I had forgotten about many of the details? Clearly, my delicate sensibilities were trampled upon. 😉 Feathers! Shrubberies! Goosing! Chocolate in the bra! Missing swim trunks! Confused skates!! Simply shocking! Went out to Kohl’s for a while. Found a new backpack for Chicago. And some pants. And (of course) some earrings. I’m putting stuff away and collecting recycling and otherwise generally vegging. Dinner so far has been crackers and cheese. I’m considering a peach. It occurs to me that I have neither fruit nor veggies for lunch tomorrow. I think I have stuff for a salad (I usually just bring carrots or green pepper as veggies). Kinda feel like another nap. GT ---

I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED GLAZING!!! _\_ Tomorrow, I’ll put a coat of kiln wash on the shelves, then load the kiln and set it off. And when we get back from the hospital on Weds, I’ll be able to unload and photograph the batch. And that gives me Thurs and Fri to price and pack. And if all goes well, on Saturday, I’ll sell it all. Or at least a bunch. Papa John made supper. And tomorrow’s lunch. So that’s good. And now I’m done for the night. ---

Vitiligo is where I have no melanin, so there will be no tan–just burn until it heals. \*\*Happy late birthday, Puggy! \*\* Sounds like a fun party. 🆒 I spent the day with my mom, daughter and a young guest from out of town traipsing around Little Tokyo, buying parasols and ice cream, and sneaking into the New Otani hotel’s Japanese garden. We took a couple of pictures and left, because my mom was paranoid about getting kicked out. We were complete wrecks by the end of the day on account of the heat, and we never did find the doll my daughter wanted, but at least it was better than sitting around the non-air-conditioned house, and our friend saw a part of L.A. she didn’t even know existed. Now I am finally caffeinating as I type (thank you, Mitsuwa market, for your plentiful supply of UCC coffee) while the Princess watches cartoons and pretends school isn’t starting in two days. ---

What with the streakers and **LOUNE** in a sexy tube sock, I was hoping nobody would remember my risque swimming attire! ::blushes:: I have to say though that it was a great party, and if someone grabbed my blue and gold melamine party platter by mistake (along with the leftover cheese samosas), could you please send it back - it’s part of a set! I am willing to trade it for a stick-on rainbow-coloured handlebar moustache and a men’s size 10 hockey skate that Noor has been idly chewing on for the last day! Nothing else to report from this corner of the Old World - still steenking hawt here. Last year it was late October/early November before the overnight minimums dropped below 30[sup]o[/sup]C (about 85[sup]o[/sup]F, I think), although the daytime maximums usually drop to the mid-thirties (Celsius) by late September. HRH is refusing to have a morning nap - she has been awake since 5:30am (about 2.5 hours now) and is just quietly playing in her cot, so no complaints from me. She will drop off soon enough. She is fighting off another sore throat, along with the teething complaint. When she laughs or babbles, she has this raspy, jazz-singer type tone to her voice. Oh well, off to wash those bottles and prepare some breakfasty-type food. This morning, I am thinking of Bahraini flatbread smeared with cream cheese and turkey bacon, folded into quarters and lightly fried until warm and smooshy! YUM!
