question for both \*\*Soapy \*\* & **Echod** - years ago I had a vanity plate - the acronym of A Rose By Any Other Name - ARBAON. those I did not want to know what it stood for were told itā€™s a Hebrew word. Is there such a? ---

Is it bedtime yet? _\_ Four hours of sleep do not sit well with me. Iā€™m a nine-hours-a-night girl, and have been since childhood. _\_ Iā€™d make coffee, but at this point Iā€™m afraid it would just upset my stomach. _\_ And Iā€™d take a nap, but Iā€™m afraid I wouldnā€™t be able to wake up enough to get todayā€™s congressdrivel done. :rolleyes: _\_ Anyway, if nothing else, I took the Idiots out to play this afternoon. Sitting out in the cold isnā€™t my favorite thing to do, but at least it did wake me up. A bit. Temporarily. Apparently most of the effects have worn off by now, though. _\_ I can count to ten in Tamil, the other language I learned when I first learned to talk as a small child in India, but I canā€™t even begin to spell it in our alphabet. Especially since Tamil has a bunch of variations on L and R that donā€™t exist in any language any of us speak except **Meeks**. So youā€™ll just have to trust me that I can do it. šŸ˜‰ _\_ ---

Whew - I finally worked my way to posting! What a chatty crew!! _ **Happy V-Day, mumpers! MWAH!!** _ Happy B-day, **Mr Lissar**! Hap-PEE V-day, **swampy**! šŸ˜› Hugs, smoochies, and gropes all around as preferred, requested, or desired. My work week is done. Tomorrow is poke, prod, blood letting and who knows what else with my doctor. \*\*FCD \*\* has taken tomorrow off, so we both have a 4-day weekend. Iā€™m hoping heā€™ll go with me to the Dr, then we can go eat right after. I have to fast before my appointment (blood work - ick) so Iā€™m going to be cranky and starving, since my appointment isnā€™t till 9. Beyond that, nothing really planned for the weekend. Just major chillinā€™ Speaking of chillinā€™, there was about an inch of snow on the ground here this morning. My poor car is covered in road salt spray, so Iā€™m thinking itā€™ll be driven thru a car wash tomorrow. Fortunately, it was sunny and above freezing, so all of the snow is gone (well, except for a bit in the deep shade) and the yard is watered yet again. It squishes under foot. We donā€™t do anything for V-day, but we may go out to eat because I donā€™t feel like cooking. The trick will be finding some place that isnā€™t crowded. Maybe weā€™ll just have soup again. Taz left the house in a disaster again today. The door under the sink was open, but fortunately, the trash can was still in place. There were papers all over the kitchen - he apparently charged across the counter and knocked the recycling down. And there are kitteh toys all over the living room. Worse than a kid, I tells ya!! Thatā€™s all for now. One more _ **MWAH!!!** _ ---

Holy crap, I need to settle downā€¦The Kid called about 20 minutes ago crying that there was a shooting on her campus and she was on the way to her car and on the way home. She called just now from the tollway, a lot calmer. Itā€™s all over the news now, and it seems to be over. She said that she had just walked out of the building next to where the shooting happened when people started running around. Everyone go hug your kid, ok? ---

Just talked to her again. She had just left a class in the same building (different room) when this happened. 3:30 classes were just about to start when the guy started shooting at about 3:15. I told her she ruined my dinner plans because we didnā€™t plan her to be home for dinner so I bought two stuffed pork chops for dinner. She laughed and decided this would be the perfect opportunity for me to buy her dinner somewhere. I mentioned that itā€™s Valentineā€™s Day and dinner out might be kind of tough. ā€œCool, then order a pizzaā€ Weird kid. Anyway, theyā€™re saying 15-18 people hurt, gunman killed by the cops. ---

Just an FYI: I moved some posts out of site that had to deal with a personal matter for one member and that memberā€™s family. We almost never remove posts, and even then most times are dedicated to removing posts from trolls, spammers, socks, etcā€¦ In this case I agreed with the poster who didnā€™t want his/her kids to find out from browsing the board. Well, we went out to dinner - not because of V-day but because I didnā€™t feel like cooking and \*\*FCD \*\* wanted Famous Daveā€™s ribs. Then we wandered around Best Buy for a little bit. Taz is wazzinā€™ out - we definitely picked the right name for him. Iā€™m hydrating since I have to have blood drawn tomorrow. Iā€™m a tough stick as it is, so the more fluid within, the better chance of hitting a vein the first time. Yeah, Iā€™m really looking forward to this. At least I can sleep in for a bit tomorrow. I have assumed the robe-n-slippers mode. Life is good. ---
