The jello better not be green! And I hope swampbear has some heavy duty filtration on that pool to handle the jello issue when it comes time to turn it back to water 🙂

I can’t say my waddling pregnant tart self would be too appetizing covered in jello of any color though. This is some dastardly plot to have Welby decide I’m just not for him isn’t it!

I was playing Marco Polo with **Kallessa**. You’re supposed to say, “Polo!”, unless you’re it, in which case you say, “Marco!”. Haven’t you played this game before?

I had green jello with my lunch today. But I didn’t lick it off anyone. Just a spoon. It wasn’t particularly satisfying, but I was in the office after all.

Actually, I’ve never played Marco Polo before, but I figured out how to play from watching movies.

No, it can’t be green, yellow or orange, because citrus is a migraine trigger for me. And that’s no fun, because I get a little cranky when I have a headache. But I think red Jello would look weird, so maybe a nice pink watermelon or blue raspberry would work. (Of course, if I didn’t have to _eat_ it, I suppose it wouldn’t matter…)

I don’t know, I would think the “married-and-several-months-pregnant-as-well-as-having-a-small-child-already” thing might have put **Welby** off, but you never know. He’s kind of weird. Maybe he _likes_ pregnant women covered in Jello. Maybe that’s his thing.

And, of course, you _are_ pretty tarty. That’s hard for a guy to pass up. 😃

(Frankly, I only threw in the tart thing because you are so pregnant - I figured it had been a while since anyone referred to you as a slut. Of course, I don’t know your MIL… 😉 [just kidding!])

Oh, it’s easy. I didn’t learn it until I moved out here, but I’ve played it with kids lots of times since (not mine - I worked as an au pair). It’s a little like Tag.

What you do, is, pick someone to be “It”. Then you form a rough circle in the shallow end of the pool with “It” in the center. “It” closes his/her eyes, and has to keep them closed at all times. Then “It” will shout, “Marco”, and the other players of the game _have_ to answer, “Polo”. “It” will try to locate and grab the other players by sound, so the strategy is to say, “Polo” and move. If you move too slowly, “It” get you, but if you move too quickly, the water makes a sound, too. Once “It” makes contact with one of the other players, s/he wins that round and the person touched is now “It”.

It’s simple, requires only a pool and is lots of fun.

Yeah, Wintermute, that married thing kind of takes me out of the running doesn’t it. Especially since husbands tend to scare Welby… even though if he knew us as a couple I am far scarier that Parallax could ever hope to be!

I am pretty tarty though… it keeps things fun 🙂 I refuse to be one of those old fuddy duddy married ladies that collects dust while life passes her by.

I have never played Marco Polo before though! I’m deathly afraid of the water! I somehow passed high school swimming for four years and never got my face wet or learned to swim!

(I’m not kidding about tall; two of us are 5’10" and one stands 6’0". The other two are a little shorter [5’7" and 5’3 or 4"]. They got teased about it, too.)

I believe you; the female is the more deadly of the species. People forget that. They think we girls are all soft and nice, but we will rip your throat out.

What?! Really? Man, I love to swim. My sisters and I spent whole summers in the lake, the river, whatever body of water we could find. Which, of course, is why we had swimming lessons all through school.

See, **Tanookie** , the beauty part of Marco Polo is that you don’t have to get your face wet - it all takes place in the shallow end.

I’m afraid of water when I can’t see the bottom, like a lake. If I can get into deep water from a boat or something, I’m okay, but I can’t walk out and start swimming. My brain is convinced there is something horrible just below me.

So, I can understand unreasoning fear, and I don’t want to sound snarky, but what’s so scary about getting your face wet? Don’t you wash it every day? I’ve never really understood this. Why is it so scary for you?

Well about the pregnant thing: this is the last baby for me… I’ll be snipped when I have the C section in the fall. Darn doctors have decided my kidneys can’t handle a third kiddie. I’m really thrilled to have the two little miracles though. And after the snipping… well I can be a wanton tart without chance of baby making 🙂

Well about the water thing: when I was a little kid the parents decided to teach me to swim. A well meaning friend decided to show me her technique and instead kicked me in the face. I then sunk like a stone to the bottom of the pool. When I came up sputtering and crying I got a spanking and sent back to the campsite alone and humiliated.

I never worked all the way through it. I am a lot better now than I was but I still can’t swim. Even if I am standing in the bathroom with a sink filled with water … if I splash a handful of water into my face I am immediately 6 years old and drowning all over again.

My parents just sucked is all. Hell that’s one of my tamer ‘my parents shouldn’t have been allowed to breed’ stories!

I’m new here and all, but all this fighting over welby has “piqued” my attention.

How about a nice deeeeep New York Style Cheesecake, welby darlin? My SO will be distracted by Star Wars Galaxies aaaaaalll weekend long.

Oh, I have Legos. LOTS of legos. While I’m nowhere near the collector that tanookie is, I do have a working Sega Gensis?? Game Cube?? Yes?
