1. Absinthe - Had this once at a restaurant now closed. Wish I could have it again, at that same place.
2. Alligator - Had twice, once in Florida, once at the Taste of Chicago. Bland both times.
3. Baba Ghanoush - Had it. Don’t care for it.
4. Bagel and Lox - Oh, c’mon, who hasn’t?
5. Baklava - Not worth the Clorox you need to clean your sticky fingers afterwards.
6. Barbecue Ribs - Are you kidding? These are standard.
7. Biscuits and Gravy - Love it.  
\*\* Black Truffle\*\* I’ve had this once in a pasta dish that was shredded so finely I really couldn’t taste anything of it. So I’m not sure this counts.
8. Borscht - I make my own. It’s heaven.
9. Calamari - Love this stuff too.
10. Caviar - Tried this and didn’t care for it. I like the red stuff they sprinkle on sushi. Does that count?
11. Cheese Fondue - Tried it. Just okay. More of a group thing.
12. Chicken and Waffles (together, at the same time) - I’ve had it, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it again.
13. Chicken Tikka Masala - Love it.
14. Chile Relleno - Co-worker brought homemade ones in. Delicious.
15. Chitlins - Tried at the Taste of Chicago. I really tried, but when I pulled out that big intestine from the cup, I just threw the rest away. Reminded me of _Night of the Living Dead_
16. Clam Chowder - Trip to Seattle. You could not go to a restaurant and not get served this.
17. Cognac - My uncle gave me some once. Didn’t like it.
18. Crab Cakes - Ann Sather’s. Not bad.
19. Crickets - Chocolate covered. Crunchy.  
**Dulce De Leche** Again, not sure. I’ve had ice cream that I think contained it.
20. Eel - Had this on sushi
21. Eggs Benedict - Love it. Love it with corned beef hash too.
22. Foie Gras - Had some on a hot dog at Hot Doug’s after the ban was overturned. Don’t see what the fuss is about.
23. Fresh Spring Rolls - Had them. Had some made with pig intestine wrapping too. Interesting.
24. Fried Catfish - Had this and Cajun blackened too.
25. Fried Green Tomatoes - Had this at the place where they filmed the movie. Love 'em.
26. Fried Plantain - Oh god, yes.
27. Frogs’ Legs - Had these as a little girl. Was not impressed, but I would try them again in case my tastes have changed.
28. Funnel Cake - Meh. Too greasy.
29. Goat - Love it. Try it with plantains!
30. Goulash - Too many times to count.
31. Gumbo - Once or twice.
32. Head Cheese - This stuff is great. I love crunchy cartilage.
33. Heirloom Tomatoes - Do not see what the fuss is about.
34. Honeycomb - Okay. Reminds me of that sugar syrup wax candy from my childhood.
35. Huevos Rancheros - I remember eating these, but I don’t remember where. That tells me I was not repulsed, but I was not impressed either.
36. Jerk Chicken - Again, Taste of Chicago.
37. Key Lime Pie - Baker’s Square has this for pete’s sake.
38. Lobster - Had this in Maine. Fantastic, but connected with bad memory that I won’t go into.
39. Mimosa - At a breakfast brunch once. Nice.
40. MoonPie - Remember having it. Don’t remember where.
41. Morel Mushrooms - At a couple of places.
42. Octopus - Nice and chewy
43. Oxtail Soup - I’d do illegal things for a good pot of this.
44. Pastrami on Rye - Like bagel and lox, who hasn’t?
45. Philly Cheese Steak - Don’t see the fuss. Chicago’s Italian beef beats it to hell and back.
46. Pho - Nice.
47. Po’ Boy - Get these at the Seven Eleven across the street.
48. Polenta - Nice change from potatoes.
49. Prickly Pear - Had once. Hurts the fingers.
50. Raw Oysters - Take one that I’m eyeing and I’ll stab you with my fork.
51. Root Beer Float - Good. Like Sarsaparilla floats better.
52. S’mores - Once on a campout. Meh.
53. Sauerkraut - Are you kidding? I’m German.
54. Shark - Unremarkable
55. Snail - Gritty
56. Soft Shell Crab - Like hard shell a lot better.
57. Spaetzle - Again, I’m German. Actually Spaetzle is southern German and my roots are in the north.  
**Spam** I could swear I’ve tried it, but I’m not sure.
58. Steak Tartare - Oh, yes please!!
59. Sweet Potato Fries - Not bad but mushier than regular.
60. Tom Yum - Oh god, I want some with my Steak Tartare.
61. Venison - Nice.
62. Wasabi Peas - Tried them. Meh.
63. Zucchini flowers - Tried them once. Wouldn’t bother again.  
So that’s 64 definitely eaten, with three maybes.

What, no rutabaga? No Tibetan buttered tea? No Jicama?

I’ve had 42, most recently goat’s milk from a local farm sold in a local grocery store. It was SO delicious. Not at all what I thought. SO good.

No, it’s marinated pork, roasted on a veritcal spit like gyos/doner/schwarma, often served with a bit of pineapple.

Very lean. Somewhere between beef and venison in terms of flavor. Best cooked on the rare side, in my experience.
