There was this (pro) football highlight show that I used to watch semi-regularly. They would take some historic gridiron struggle and show it practically play-by-play in slo-motion. It was always snowing, it was always a dramatic epic clash between arch rivals. There was this very, well, football like music that accompanied this show. It was very fan-fare-ish, lots of trumpets and such. I can hear the music in my head but for the life of me I cannot find a link to it or even remember the name of the show. My wife is putting an iMovie togther and think this music would be perfect but I can’t seem to track down. Any (North American) Dopers out there have any idea what I am talking about?

I don’t know if this will help, but I tried looking up some football music on Amazon, and there are some sample clips to listen to [here](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00000DGUH/ref=pd_sim_m_6/102-2704171-2981752?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=5174) that have a lot of brassy songs from football shows (some only have spoken voice, skip those).

I keep thinking I know what you’re talking about, but then I keep hearing that damn Hockey Night in Canada theme in my head. Grr.

That’s the trouble: just about all football/sports shows use brassy themes.

Here’s hoping you find what you’re looking for.

Thanks, I think I recognised what I want from the short clips off that one or “Autumn Glory”. Neither one of them are on iTunes but using the search term “battle glory” turned up a few classical hits (heh, a pun) that sound like the NFL music could be derived from the classical.

I don’t know if this helps at all, but the snowy football scene you may be thinking about was a Denver Bronco/Pittsburgh Steeler game. It snowed like a mother that night, and was the best game I have ever seen (I’m a Bronco fan). The song may be the one used by Denver (and other teams, too). I did a search for NFL music and there is quite a bit out there.

[Here](http://www.valley-entertainment.com/Artists/NFL_Films_Music/), weird but I just saw this advertised on ESPN yesterday by what’s his name… Steve Sabo? Whoever the son of the guy that started NFL Films is.

“Power and the Glory” is the more reasonable choice. The box set is pretty expensive.

Upon reading your OP, I realized it had nothing to do with what you’re looking for, but Santana did a song called “Touchdown Raiders”, an instrumental for the Oakland team. It’s on **Beyond Appearances**.
No link, sorry.
