# A little movie ID help, please

OK, I saw this film one time only on TV when I maybe 13 or so, so quite a while back, and have never run across it again.

Made in the mid-50s, maybe; bears a superficial resemblance to the _The Wages of Fear_, but made in the USA. Definitely not _Sorcerer_, William Freidkin’s remake of _TWoF_. Concerns a group of rough, tough truckers who are transporting some kind of volatile, corrosive rocket fuel in tankers over dangerous mountain roads. I recall one scene where some of the cargo leaks out of a valve on the truck and burns a guy’s arm. Unfortunately, I remember little else, including the title and/or names of any of the actors. Anyone have any idea what film this is?

If you were a kid, are you sure it wasn’t **The Wages of Fear** dubbed into English? I haven’t been able to turn anything up in my searches…

I put “movie,” “rocket fuel,” and “truckers” into Google and the second item to come up was the 1958 movie _Violent Road_.

_Violent Road_! I’m pretty sure that’s it. It seems to be a lost film, for some reason. The IMDB listing only seems to have two comments attached, and one of them mentions they last saw it twenty years ago.
