Nefarious indeed. Image no worky. Dinner was roast chicken, zucchini fritters, mashed N.O.T., and corn. It was nummy. I must sadly report that I am out of chocolate. This is tragic. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 24 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 56 and N.O.S. for the day. Highs will creep up to the 60s over the next few days. I need to make a run to the sto’ this mornin’. Yogurt, bananas, and applesauce shall be purchased. I eat those three things most mornin’s and the supply is low. Donuts will also be purchased as I got a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for cake donuts. Grilled chikin boobs and whatever else I decide shall be supped upon this evenin’. **red** the spices and herbs I use most often are now alphabetized and in easy reach. The rest are still all willy-nilly. I like to live on the edge. **sunny** I trust plans are afoot to rectify the lack of chawklit. This is unacceptable. Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify bein’ as I am goin’ about the public. Happy Firday Y’all! ---

Happy Firday! It’s a not so chilly 26 degrees outside with a high of 45 predicted for the day. I noticed the predicted weekend temps have been lowered. We shall see. I’m hoping for a boring day. Yesterday was a pluck my nerves day. ---

TGIF!!! Mildening of weather is promised over the next few days. \*\*FCD \*\*leaves on Sunday for the cold cruel wilds of Madison, WI, so I’ll be without adult supervision for most of a week. He’ll be taking the Sonata, so to be nice, I’ll go to the good carwash and have it done inside and out. Then I’ll drive the piece of crap truck for a week. 😛 My sis had her knee surgery yesterday and it’s still unknown whether it’ll do her any good. Apparently when she’s drugged and relaxed, everything looks exactly as it should, but when she’s conscious and functioning, her muscles get all weird and inflict pain. She could never do things the ordinary way… Oh, yeah, morning excitement. When I came out of the bedroom, there was a strange, chemical smell thru the rest of the house. It seemed to be coming from **FCD** ’s workshop, because when I went downstairs, there was no odor in the laundry room and my studio (the door was closed) but it was strong in his shop. He thought it was a paint smell, I thought it smelled like a gas, but the only gas down there is the argon for his welder, and it was off. Plus I don’t think argon has an odor. Anyway, he was on a stink hunt when I left. I felt bad for him having to get up, but I don’t take odd smells lightly - especially in the house. Thus beganneth my day. Happy Firday. ---

… 😕 Why would you alphabetize the spices? I organize them by type. Maybe it’s the chemical training showing: we’d never place Sodium Chloride next to Sodium Hydroxyde next to Sodium Nitrate, stuff gets organized by type for safety reasons. ---

My spices are organized according to how often I use them, and also by size of the containers. There is logic to my system, but don’t try to figure it out. ---

My spices are currently just jammed in the cupboard any old how. Am I still allowed to post here? I keep intending to get a proper spice organising system, but I’ve not got round to it _hangs head in shame_. Plans for today are going shopping for odd stuff, mostly stationery for drawing out garden plans, but also steel toe cap wellie boots. Just realised my car reached 100,000 miles yesterday; I’ve been counting down to that for ages, and I missed it. Gonna have to get a new car to try again. Happy firday all! ---

I solved the spice problem by not having any in the house at all (unless Morton’s salt and Accent count as spices). apologies if this give **doggio** the vapors. Is there really anything better than a BLT with Mayo on toasted Rye bread? Because I just ate two of them and feel contentment with the world. 40F here in N. Ali-bama and I hope the heat sticks around; my gas bill was double last month’s. ---

**Metal Mouse** The answer is no on the BLT. Nothing better. Do you fry the bacon or use the precooked? Nosy me. I hate frying bacon but oven cooked is ok. ---

My spices are organized (ha!) by how I last used them in a recipe. The baking ones tends to migrate together, and the cooking ones tend to migrate together using this tremendously sophisticated system. This is also why I have my spice wheel. So I can spin it around, whilst incanting “cinnamon, cinnamon, cinnamon” until I find the cinnamon on the wheel. See how well that works? BLT - ha! The better option is grilled bacon and cheese, on white or sourdough. None of this rye. I miss Pepper pup, but I’ve been keeping 'Beamer’s chi-hoo-ah-hoo-ah warm during the day while he is at school. Pixel is a right proper cuddle bug, under a blanket by preference. It’s a hard, hard world when you’re bred for the desert and you live in Orygun. Of course, he gets spoiled rotten and my mom has been making him sweaters. 😛 ---

My spices share the same shelf as the paper plates. Since paper plates are round the smaller spice contaiers get tucked into the corner behind the plates while the larger containers take up the rest of the shelf. The ones I use the most often migrate to the front of the cabinet. I suppose I could put the plates in the middle and have symetry, but I’m not quite that anal… yet.
