The Simpsons Archive has had a [page](http://snpp.com/guides/nazis_on_tap.html) about this for years, but I’d never thought I’d actually hear it: the audio from a never-animated parody of old cartoons that was put into production by _The Simpsons_ as part of a plan to piss off Matt Groening after a discussion regarding whether or not Hitler was funny. (Apparently, the only reason the bartender is a dog is because he hated that too). As one person on the Simpsons Archive puts it: “It wasn’t really that funny, just really weird and inside. Which is why it wisely never went outside.”

[Here](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKl0lxKH6xE) is the audio, and [here’s](http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/The-Lost-Simpsons-Short-Nazis-on-Tap/topic/5170/) an explanation from one of the storyboard artists.

I can see their point. 🙂

That was a decent parody of World War II propaganda cartoons, but not exactly hilarious.

Still, a great nugget o’ fun for us Simpsons geeks!
