It’s two hours until quit o’clock for me. And that won’t come soon enough! I’m having tutor-trauma today, after the other day’s student trauma. It’s a good job it’s Firday otherwise I don’t know how I’d cope. The good news is that the [Frankfurt Christmas Market](http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/frankfurtchristmasmarket.bcc) has opened for the hexmas period so we will be out on Saturday evening slurping gluhwein in the middle of town. There’s an additional craft market that opens next week so there will be plenty of stalls to wander round. I, of course, am only going for the gluhwein! ---

Thanks for the additional knife handling tips, **SoulBro** and **Cervaise**. I have to admit that I’m getting quite the Doper crush on both of you at the moment. Men who love food and know how to cook are Teh Hawtness. And thanks for the sunlamp advice, **Roo** and **Nava**. They’re not particularly cheap, so I was a little worried about shelling out for one if it wasn’t going to work, but it sounds like it’s probably my best bet. I had the everlasting joy of spending nearly 2 hrs of quality time with my dentist last night and now I’m stuck wearing temporary crowns until they can install the permanent ones in two weeks. And, to make it extra-fun… per doctor’s orders, nothing sticky, nothing crunchy, and nothing too chewy is permitted to pass my lips in the meantime. _sniff_ I know I’ll probably be eating a lot of pasta and polenta and porridge… any other suggestions for nice soft un-chewy foods I could eat? Preferably nothing too hot or too cold, as my teeth are a little sensitive. (so no soup and no ice cream… _sniff_) ☹ ---

I like soupy ice cream! What about chicken pot pie or something like that? Actually, Death Chicken should be pretty easy to chew. Other rice-based dishes like fried rice or biryani? ---

Exactly what I was going to say! 😃 The dip is AWESOME as a matter of fact, I’ve eaten so much that I’m thorougly sick of it at the moment. Somebody asked what you would serve with it and I have to say that we wouldn’t waste something that good on vegetables!😃 Actually, we’ve been inhaling it with tortilla chips and they seem like a perfect compliment. **Muppet** , is it possible to find a medical equipment company that will rent out one of those lights for you to try? I’d hate to see you spend all that money and have it not work. My mom tried one in the past and it didn’t do any good at all. Fortunately, the doctor or somesuch that she was seeing at the time let her borrow one. Well, I too had more to say but I can’t remember. Guess I’ll finish packing up and head home for a nap. BTW, have you ever spilled about 2 cups of freshly cooked Mexican rice on the floor? I just did and it looks like something that has been, um, already consumed and decided to make another appearance. Oooh, nice blog **Cervaise,** and right up my alley–literally! I forwarded that on to my vegetarian, organic, locavore daughter and I expect she’s gonna kvell seriously over some of the stuff on that site… Well, I’m over my depression of the week–it probably is helping that it’s sunny outside (holy crap, the daystar! Ruuuuuuuun!) and I have a promising interview on Monday–although it’s Comcast, they’re notoriously picky and I recently cancelled service with them after managing to snag every promotional deal they had for three years running before bailing out to DSL. With any kind of luck they’ll look at that as a testimony to my negotiating skills, la la la… It’s a sales position, inbound call center residential service with bonuses for upselling so there’s a lot of potential for $$ there and the company is stable so we’ll see how it goes. I also have another line on a supervisor position with another call center, just did an email pre-interview quiz so let’s hope that pans out. I hate, hate, HATE job hunting! HATE IT. Himself has been taking tests for a home based tech support gig that would be perfect for him–he could continue doing his customer computer builds and upgrades while answering stupid questions… Fingers, toes, whatever crossed–if all else fails I sure hope them lame duck congresscritters cut loose with some additional unemployment bennies for us scrabblin’ folk. Nice of Dubya to play quid pro quo with a FTA for Colombia in exchange–fucker. Seems it has more oil and CNG than previously thought… :rolleyes: Just once I wish a politician could suprise me–that’s why I voted Obama, more likely to break the mold! I made cataclysmically delicious calzones for dinner–I had a pizza dough ball from Trader Joe’s (herb/cheese style) and a leftover piece of Albertson’s fried chicken so I kneaded and rested the doughball and cut it into thirds, teased it out into rounds, brushed each round with pesto and roasted garlic paste (surprise! Betcha never saw THAT coming! 😛 ) then a layer of pepper jack, topped that with lightly sauteed red pepper, onion, mushroom and chopped chicken, then topped that with shavings of pecorino romano. Flipped over the top, sealed the sides, poked with a fork, brushed with more garlic paste and a sprinkle of shredded romano on top and baked at 425[sup]o[/sup] for twenty minutes or so. Nom nomnomnomnom! Whole dinner cost me maybe five bucks! If that… Dayum, **Bobbio,** them Bambis have a real hardon for your rig out there–that’s some crazy shite! Too bad the little bastards don’t have the courtesy to just stick their heads under the wheels as you go by, at least that way you could pop 'em onto a gurney and head in for a little impromptu barbecue action. That’d make your insurance company happier, too. WTF is buffalo dip anyway?
