Yeah, I just had a plumber in (not an assistant…a real plumber) to help connect the new Washer/Dryer to some pipes. $17.50 an hour. How weird is THAT? ---

Fine, thanks for asking. 4 and a half months to go (give or take). We’ve had loads of trouble making her insurance work with telecommuting from another state but it’s all good now. Dinner with the Chamber of Commerce next Tuesday I just got invited to. Wish me luck! ---

Is the Chamber of Commerce this friendly to everyone who moves to Marietta, or is this something special because of your job? If the former, don’t you just love small-town Ohio? ---

They’re excited about getting a couple from back east to move here. I think they have dreams of setting up Marietta as a telecommuting haven for easterners tired of traffic, crime and overdevelopment. And I’m example #1. So how 'bout it, Kim? Wanna go small town again? ---
