Good kids, Black, White, Hispanic, Indian…all good kids (even if they did drive me crazy every practice). So now just the referee duties (2 games today and two tomorrow, then the tournament in Knoxville 16-18 June) and I get to rest…until August, when the whole thing starts up again… Need to take care of necessities and change into my “Referee Man!” outfit. It looks as though if they aren’t [rattle snakes or copperheads](http://dnr2.maryland.gov/wildlife/Pages/plants_wildlife/herps/Fieldguide_OrderSquamata.aspx), you’re good. I am surprised that there aren’t any water moccasins in Maryland. ---

Happy Saturday! I’m up and caffeinated. I’ve picked tomatoes, stripped the bed and remade it, have a load of sheets and towels in the dryer and the breakfast dishes done. Now for a shower so I can head to the city for a meet up. ---

\*\*sari \*\*- I’m pretty sure they’re Eastern Wormsnakes. They look like the pic and the habitat matches. I just put down another wagonload of mulch, and I think one more will do it. I’m having a cold drink right now before heading out to finish. Last task will be planting a lily in the little bed by the driveway. Then I’ll put everything away and crash. And shower, eventually… ---

I’m beat, but I’m clean, so there’s that. \*\*FCD \*\*wants to go to Cracker Barrel for catfish for supper. So I think that’ll be the plan. After Higgs eats, I’ll put on acceptable clothing, then we can go. My robe is nice and all, but even I have standards… ---

I cleaned the invasive English out of a bed of hostas in the back yard. Now the poor things can breathe. I might move some of the irises out there, too, if it fits with Irish Storyteller’s vision for the back yard. Then I decided to hang my clothes out because it’s nice out and \*both \*of the clotheslines broke. :mad: Nearly gave myself heatstroke trying to fix them. That’s Benadryl’s fault–it was making me hyper and needing to do all the things at once. Conclusion: we need a new spool of real clothesline. The jury-rigging, she does not work. Now all the cats are afraid of me because I yelled at them for getting in my way while I was running around like a mad thing. And I forgot to put the nails away. Going to do that now. ---

**BigKitty** may I suggest switching to daily doses of another allergy medication, like Claritin, during allergy season? Save Benadryl for when you really need to get the housework done. 😃 ---

OK, I’m dressed appropriately for going to Cracker Barrel. It was a challenge, but I managed to ignore all the aches and pains and as soon as we feed Higgs, we’re heading out. Which is good, 'cause I’s hongreeeee!! I had a small bagel for breakfast and a leftover egg roll and some fried rice for lunch. Not too substantial. ---

Howdy Y’all! We got the lady moved in to her new apartment. Four trucks, a flatbed trailer, and two trips got it all done. She is surrounded by boxes of stuff poor thing. Sasha, her poodle, had a blast. She got all the attention she could stand. 😃 Anywho, that’s over and dindin got cooked and et. Grilled poke chops, squish, and green beans. Leftovers for tomorrow’s N.O.L. as well. Tomorrow is First Sunday brunch over to the church house but we shall not participate. I am too tahrd to whomp up sump’n so we’ll deheathenate and head on back to da cave. TWPTB say tomorrow shall be stormy. We shall see. **MetalMouse** yay for winnin’ teams! Everybody else, yay for all the adultin’ today. In a bit I shall clean myself up. I put clean sheets on the bed so clean me plus clean sheets plus bein’ tahrd should make for good sleep tonight. I do foresee goin’ to bed with TY cause I’m a little bit achy. ---

My left hand is hurting, but that’s the yarn holding hand so maybe it won’t be so bad. ---

**BigKitty** I take 2 Claritin a day during allergy season. There’s a long explanation behind that, but the basic reason is that the drug company set the dose on the low side so that they can sell it over the counter. Part 2 is that it’s virtually impossible to overdose. My niece locked herself in the bathroom with a bottle once and my sister called poison control in a panic. They told her not to worry about it. IANAD. Etc. etc. 2 pills a day works for me. You could also try Zyrtec with works for lots of folks, but it turns me into a raging bitch. YMMV. (The boy child points out that I used a bad word there.) I bought a new bike today. The pedal kind. 😃 Also did the grocery shopping.
