I’ve had Jimmy John’s. It’s OK. Their existence in this town is redundant however, since we already have [Meconi’s](http://www.meconissubs.com/), which serves the same kind of east-coast style subs with the chewy bread and what not, their menu is larger, their sandwiches are _cheaper_, better quality, and more customizable, and they’re just as fast. The only thing JJ’s does that they don’t is deliver, and JJ’s doesn’t deliver to my address anyway. ---

The Jimmy John’s in the town that I recently moved out of charged customers for water cups, which I always found to be kind of annoying. ---

One of the Jimmy John’s in my town got in trouble when the wrapper a sandwich was sent out in had a cartoon drawing of a penis on it. Business there still isn’t back up. ---

I had Jimmy John’s once. Once. It was bland and tasted like it came from a vending machine. But that was several years ago, and the one I went to is still in business, so either a lot of other people like it, or it’s a front for the Mob. Gee, there sure are a lot of fronts for the Mob in my area. One is an antique store, not a restaurant, but in over 20 years, I’ve never seen anyone go in or out, or buy anything. And it’s always open too. Sorry for the off topic bit, but what’s wrong with that, since this is such a zombie? ---

Yeah, I don’t get the Subway hate either. About the worst thing you can say about them is that they’re somewhat stingy with the meats (and their cheaper meats are all some kind of turkey composite). But the bread is fresh, the veggies are fresh, and they can make a better sandwich than I can with what I’ve got in the fridge at any given time. And because I have to walk there from work, it’s actually a reasonably healthy choice. Sorry, didn’t realize that this was a zombie thread.
