**Zed** , huh? I quite like it! 😃 Today I’m feeling rather proud of myself for a silly reason. We’ve got my parents staying with us for a couple of months, just reaching the end of month one, and I haven’t had a single stroppy teenager moment! I think I’ve finally growed up… 😉 ---

Welcome, **Zed**! It’s gonna be a slow day today. I only have one Word document to work on. But I’m off tomorrow! Mr Rebo talked to a high-up customer service rep from Home Depot last night. The assistant manager at the local HD he had spoken with the day before refused to give his last name! How unprofessional! So she (the rep) was going to take care of that, as well as send a HD person to inspect the warped door. Mr Rebo also has a rep from the door manufacturer coming, since the local HD said they don’t have HD reps go to people’s houses. Yeah, right. So, maybe something will be done soon. I leave you guys alone for a few hours and I come back to talk of man nipples and Rachel Ray covered in warm oil. Y’all are some sick puppies! (but that’s what makes the MMP so enjoyable) I’m working on five hours of sleep today. Stoopid cats decided to use the bed as an obstacle course at 5am. :mad: Caffeination is underway, breakfast soon to follow. ---

Ick. Rachel Ray. Ick ick ick. Rachel Ray in warm oil= even worse. We read her cookbooks aloud and make gagging noises (very mature) at work. It was the succotash with black beans, roasted peppers, corn, and _barbeque sauce_ that made me nearly throw up. Not keen on the eggs with a cup of basil and lots of mustard, either. Oh, I hate that, when the cats decide to do Olympic sports on the bed. ---

Succotash with BBQ sauce? ICK. Though I suppose it’s one step up from Paula Dean, who’d probably do the same and then proceed to slather the whole thing with a stick of butter… actually, make that two sticks of butter. And some biscuits. :rolleyes: I despise all Food TV hosts with the exception of Nigella, whom I worship. He was always hot–he said he just didn’t feel the cold at all; during the frigid Boston winter, he was constantly leaving windows open and turning off the heat. It was awful. ---

Thank Og it’s Thursday! This has been the most boring week on record, and I am really looking forward to the weekend! I am somewhat pissed at my employers though, as today should be payday (we get paid monthly, supposedly on the last business day of the month), but the idiot accountant didn’t bother to set up a standing order direct deposit for my salary. Instead, he hands me a **post-dated** cheque, meaning I will have to deposit the cheque to my account and wait for the funds to clear. Grrrr! So now, I have no cash over the weekend and will have a further wait of 3 days after I deposit the cheque on Sunday (the cheque is dated 1 June), meaning we will be on bread and water (figuratively speaking) until Wednesday (primarily because I only worked 10 days out of April and had a piddling salary to get us through May). To add insult to injury, I then need to TT funds to my account in Australia, which has direct debits set up to come out on the 4th of each month - clearly NOT going to get there in time! :mad: :mad: :mad: There are just not enough grouchy mad faces to express my annoyance with these hacks! And let’s not even start on my idiot boss who continues to edit my work for style and insert excess American passive-voice verbiage, thereby decreasing the sense and legal reasoning of everything I do. What kind kind of twatbasket changes “_Consider including …_” to “_Consideration should be given to the inclusion of …_”? 😕 :dubious: :smack: I mean, seriously? Gah, I can’t work with this moron much longer, otherwise I will rip his head off and spit down his torn, bloodied neck! :mad: :mad: :mad: Sigh, I feel better now … BTW, you guys better have saved some of **Zed** ’s chocolate as a love offering for **Mooooommmm** , or she’ll be mad! ---
