So the planning for this madcap adventure continues, eh? December has crowded up for me fast! I’m not sure I’ll be available when this thing rolls through town. But I would like to assure **Rue** the Flan-Bearing Boy that there are indeed malls here if he requires a pose with Santa. They should be good and jammed and thoroughly headache-producing about the time you roll through! (I hate malls.) For zee record, I dispute Shibb’s claim that I told him the plans were for the 8th. I have been under the impression that this dealie is going down on the weekend of the 15th. Has this been definitely settled? DoctorJ and I are in such close proximity daily that it would be interesting to meet him. And if Cherry comes down from the mountains in a billow of blossoms, it’ll be a perfect day. ---

Just told The Boss Man that I’m taking off on the 14th and 17th of December and if he didn’t like it he could lump it. He liked it though, so it was OK. I’ll be heading out at 0-dark-30 on the 14th, so can anybody recommend lodgings for Friday night in Cincinnininnininininnniinati? Gimme a break. I’m from Pennsylvania. I can’t spell big complicated words like Cininninininnninininininati. I’m used to Indian words like Wissahickon, Manayunk, Schuylkill and Wiconisco. I can’t spell Mrs. Ippi either. Yep, I’ll be there. And I’m certainly willing to swing by and pick up **Medea’s Child** if she wants to go. It’ll be fun. We can sing Louis Prima songs in the car and make fun of the crappy stuff in the rest stop gift shops. Except for the shot glasses. Since I will now be setting foot in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky I will need to get shot glasses from each of those states to add to the shelf with the Shot Glasses From Places I’ve Actually Been To. Of course, we won’t be making many rest stops. If you need a visit to the whizzatorium, it should coincide with a gas stop. Fortunately, if I drive the Amazing Colossal Eight Passenger Oldsmobile there will be plenty of gas stops. But I still wouldn’t SuperSize that Coke if I were you, **MC**. I’m looking forward to this like you wouldn’t believe. Zap! ---

She surprises me sometimes, but I’d say the chances are less than 50%. Maybe we’ll try Victor Sifuentes (you know he changed his name to Bobby when he moved to New York), she should remember him, and he was mostly good, IIRC. ---

Thru correspondence with my bestest bud, **Rue** , I’ve managed to cajole him [sub](no threats or bribery… well, a little bribery)[/sub] into taking along a FairyChatProxy so that you can pretend I’m there. Hubby and I discussed the advisability of sending an inflatable love doll as my proxy, but this is, after all Jacksonville, home of the uptight, and I’m guessing such dolls are few and far between. And anyway, I didn’t think poor **Rue** should have to explain to the Little Woman why a strange woman in Florida is sending him an inflatable love doll. So I’ll be dispatching my FairyChatProxy with a diary in the hopes of getting a few handwritten greetings from Dopers along your route. Not nearly as good as being there, but it’s the best I can manage… _this time_!! ---

I’m in Bloomington, IN…just a hop skip and a jump from Indy. But I get lost EVERY time I go to Indy, so I may end up in Plainville or something. Chicago, Bermuda…no place is TOO lost when bodypoet tries to navigate the streets of Indy. Maybe an Indy doper can meet me somewhere before I hit 465–that’s the end of my “I know where I am” rope. Bah. That’s the best you can do? **racinchikki** and I (well, I thought of it–she’s just been drafted as navigator) have an idea in the works for a 2-week, Cannonball-esque transcontinental Dopefest extravaganza! (NYC, DC, Alanta, Dallas, Vegas, San Francisco, LA…) Problem is, if I find an appropriately nifty car to do it in, we’d be burning over _seven hundred_ gallons of high-test on that trip (and that’s at a fairly optimistic gas mileage estimate :eek:, but it includes going from my house to NY and LA to my house. If I pick up the car at one end, it reduces that number by 25%). Maybe we’ll have a bake sale… ---
