Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. I’m home from training/work and am now waiting for my son to get home. I am being taken out to dinner; but I don’t know where. Mr. Taters asked where I wanted to go, but I don’t know. I’m not sure what I feel like eating tonight. The weather is stellar today. I wish I could have had the day off to enjoy it. ---

Happy Birthday, Taters!!! Hope you have a nice dinner. I did a 2-year re-up cuz I figured it was easier. Maybe I’ll go wild later and get myself a custom title, too. 😃 Strawberry jam sounds yummy, **Spaz**. My cherry tree is dying, so, even though the last living branch went crazy blooming this year, there won’t be enough for more than a jar or so of jam. Maybe I’ll go look for a place where I can pick them. Need to plant a new tree soon. I LOVE tart cherries. It’s a pleasant temperature and it wasn’t raining very hard, so we chose to be rebels. It’s actually getting warm again. It’s supposed to hit 80 Merrkin degrees on Saturday. Work was crazy, although I actually left early. Seems like I was in meetings all day, including a 2-hour one that was basically a presentation. Came home and slept for an hour. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ _YAWN_ 'Tis 59 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92. Should warm the pool up at least. I tested it yesterday. BRRRRRR! Water cold! **CarnalK** the MMP is about nuttin’ and everything. Whatever random thought that pops into your haid you can post here. We like to think the MMP helps MPSIMS all neat and tidy with all the miscellaneous posts and such we do up in here. We even have a recipe blog cause we likes to eat. 😃 Ok, now I go in search of more caffiene and some brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then irk purtification must commence, alas. At least it’s Firday! I’m at my (regular scheduled) Dr appt. My back is better, too. Then onto my diabetes clinic, then to the eye doctor with dad. Then this afternoon I will make the requested birthday peach pie, for Mr rebo’s birthday tomorrow. Have a great Firday! ---

I am trainin’ a student volunteer on how to answer the phones, direct inquiries and such. So I sit here in the office right behind him and listen out. Then I jump up if there’s a problem. The best way I know to do this is to just jump in. He’ll either do good or run screamin’, right? ---

I’ve been up for quite some time, but didn’t make coffee. What the hell is wrong with me? I’ll have to get cleaned up and ready to take Polar to the vet. Last night we discovered that he’s got a bad case of ear mites or something like it. Damn, that was unexpected. So much for a trip to the salon today. Seeing as how I am home alone, it’s going to be real interesting trying get him in harness collar and getting Brandi in the kennel by her lonesome. There is no way I can take both the vet by myself and keep them under control. They’ve got horrible leash manners. Trying to get them in their harnesses is a major pain because they don’t sit still due to their extreme excitement. They both need obedience training; but that’s time and money I don’t have right now. Besides, I don’t know how much good it’ll do because they’re not really puppies. They’ve gotten better in many respects, but we still have a ways to go. ---

I work in a very secure facility; guards out front, card readers throughout, very limited access to specific floors, etc. That works pretty good for people but apparently not so good against snakes, one of which I almost stepped on walking down a hallway this am. There have been lots of reports in the news about wild animals invading people places because of the drought as they look for water. They weren’t a lyin’. ---

Did a half hour of Dance Dance Revolution last night while my parents were at taijitsu. I want to go back since I only have two belts to go before I get my black belt. I’ll either have to go straight from work or devote my Saturday mornings. Trying to decide what to do for lunch. Baja Fresh, which I’ve been craving? Leftover roast beef? Leftover stuffed chicken breast? Hmmm… Then if I’m good I’ll work on the designs for my new portfolio. If I eat out I’m more likely to work, because I won’t be distracted by Stephen Colbert’s sexy sexy voice. (Yes, I eat in front of the TV. I expect I’ll die from choking from laughing.) ---

I’m happy to report that I did not waste away or get raptured. 😃 I am however still very full. I should not eat at a buffet in the middle of an irk day. **Swampy,** Polar has a bacterial infection. It’s costing me a bit of money too. He doesn’t do well with strangers trying to probe his hiney or touch his sore ear. In the end, we decided it would be best to put him under so they could flush his ears. Between the office visit and cytology, the ear flushing procedure and the all the meds they’re going to send me home with, I’m 300 bucks poorer. I was thinking I’d be spending $150.00 at most. However, I didn’t take into account how freaked out he acted out the vet’s office. He was stressed and several people trying to hold him down while flushing out his ears would have made things more tramautic for him. So, no visit to the salon for me and we’ll be eating cheap come next week.
