At least you shot down the fantasy I had of mis-labels and short fills being shunted off to the employee break room. Do you at least get an ID card to show to cops to explain why you smell like beer when you’re driving? :eek: I just wish you could have found employment with Samuel Adams so you might be able to introduce me to that bear in their commercials. Weather hijinks around here… We had record-breaking rainfall today. In the 100+ years that they’ve been keeping records, it has never rained at all on July 18. So, when it moisted this morning and .01" of rain fell, it was a record. The really funny thing is that in some areas, enough moist landed on powerlines to convert dust into electrically conductive mud, and 10,000 people lost power. If we’d only had .02" of moist, that mud would have been washed off and power would not have been interrupted. 😃 ---

Earlier today I was talking with the **Maternal Striped One** on the phone. I knew she’d called me on her cell because of the caller ID on my end. After maybe ten minutes of yakking, I heard some background rustles and she asks herself, “Where is my cell phone?” “Umm…you’re on it.” Yep. She’s gettin’ old. _g_ ---

Oh boy, **Swampy** , as I was reading of your tale about the beer, it occurred to me that your job is similar to that of Laverne & Shirley. 😉 Be careful of any Schotz beers that might come down the line now! Ack, sorry about that tenacious virus, **Dotty** ; hope you all will be getting better soonest, esp. Noor! Drat, all day I thought it was -Thursday-; I’m so disappointed that it’s only Wednesday! ☹ Ah well, at least there’s “Top Chef” to watch tonight. 😃 **Lili** , your co-worker sounds like she has RPD - remote possibility disaster, which is what my brothers and I used to say about our Mom. She would come up with the most ridiculous situations of impending disaster, and be absolutely convinced that they -could- happen! Here’s her most (in)famous one: My two younger brothers were sharing their room for the night at the summer cottage with our (even younger) cousin, Mike (I think he was about 3-4; they were 9 and 10, I think). Mom came in to check on them, then told my 10 YO brother, “Please make sure that the window is closed, because Mikey could roll out of bed, onto the window sill, down the roof, onto the ground, down the dock and into the water and drown!” And she was completely serious. The other thing was that the window sill was about 6 inches -above- the bed. Hehehe. Now that is RPD! ---

I’d be afraid the cat would fall asleep on my face and I’d sufficate because I wouldn’t be able to wake it (I’m surprised the RPD cow-orker hasn’t thought of that one - you should mention it to her :D) ---

And every time I had to talk her down off the ceiling and tell her that everything was all right. So then what’d I have to go and do? Got cancer. Now she’s convinced that everything I do is going to cause it to come back. I can’t go back to my weekend acting job because it will cause cancer. Right around the time I first went to the doctor to get my knee (where the tumor was) checked out, I also started going to gym and eating more fruits and vegetables. I’m so busy! I’m just getting caught up, and I missed out on all the flirting! ☹ I ended up having to come back in to work last night because there was a project that had to be done yesterday, and the people who were still here couldn’t figure it out. It felt good that I figured out what was wrong, and that I am needed here, but it wasn’t quite as much fun to have to get up from where I was lounging by the pool and run inside. Plus, it was a little awkward trying to explain why it’d take me a few minutes to get out the door to head back to work without having to tell a bunch of coworkers that I was in a bikini and still dripping wet. :o (That smiley doesn’t look embarrassed, but it’ll have to work for now.) **McUne** , I didn’t know you’re a Minnesotan! We’re practically neighbors! **Dotty** , sorry to hear you and the baby are still sick. ☹ I love all the paranoia stories. It’s hysterical what some people worry about. I’m a worrier, but I like to think that I only worry about realistic things. **ME** , thanks for the thoughts for Lily. She seems to have forgiven me for the vet visit and the ear drops. We still have a few days of drops to go (and another vet visit on Friday… Don’t tell her!), but she’s at least more cuddly again. Waves at everyone else. ---

Just got back from taking nephew and his kittens to the vet for shots. Choco was good, but Grubby pitched a battle and then swiped the vet right across the nose. I laughed, but I couldn’t help it. She is such a little weenie. I’m proud of neph though for taking care of his pets. They get fixed next month. Is it Friday night yet? ---
