OK, here I go…from the Shuffle setting on my iPod (currently ~400 songs). I picked the first song by scrolling with my eyes closed.
Zoot Suit Riot–Cherry Poppin’ Daddies
Mr. Grieves–TV on the Radio
Hey You Handsome Vulture–Sunset Rubdown
Evil–Interpol
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill–The Beatles
Fighter–Christina Aguilera
I Saw Three Ships (yes, the Christmas carol)
Rocky Racoon–The Beatles
Slow Hands–Interpol
The Cheap Seats–Alabama
OK, I have a metric ton of Beatles music on my iPod, so I’m not shocked that two of their songs came up (but both from the White Album). I only have five Interpol songs in my mix, so I’m surprised that two came up (again, both from Antics). None of my classical pieces came up, and I have a lot of country music, so I’m surprised that only one song came up in that genre (and that it wasn’t by George Strait).
I don’t know what this “says about me” - my husband says what it says is that “my taste in music SUCKS” - but he likes the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix so what does HE know.

I have to say I’m pleased how that worked, though I’m suprised I hit a jazz song (I have maybe 10) and completely missed Yes
My music and also my husband’s- probably most of the stuff in the folder is his.
The Summoner- Martin O’Donnell Part of Me-Linkin Park The Night that Pat Murphy Died-Great Big Sea We’re the Great- Yokko Kanno Karma Police- Radiohead A Certain Slant of Light- Tea Party 3 AM-Matchbox 20 Foundations of Stone- Howard Shore (LotR) Tears in the Rain-Vangelis Macross Plus
This is totally not representitive of what I listen to at all. Weird. I guess my music forms a fairly small part of the collection. No Arabic and no EBM/goth on the list.
Who was it that said when people say no offense, they almost always follow it up with something offensive?
I feel really bad for you, mr. jp, that someone has tied you in a chair and glued your eyelids open so that you are forced to read this thread. My sympathies.
