A Musical Taste Snapshot: Your First 10 Random Playlist Songs?

OK, here I go…from the Shuffle setting on my iPod (currently ~400 songs). I picked the first song by scrolling with my eyes closed.

  1. Zoot Suit Riot–Cherry Poppin’ Daddies
  2. Mr. Grieves–TV on the Radio
  3. Hey You Handsome Vulture–Sunset Rubdown
  4. Evil–Interpol
  5. The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill–The Beatles
  6. Fighter–Christina Aguilera
  7. I Saw Three Ships (yes, the Christmas carol)
  8. Rocky Racoon–The Beatles
  9. Slow Hands–Interpol
  10. The Cheap Seats–Alabama

OK, I have a metric ton of Beatles music on my iPod, so I’m not shocked that two of their songs came up (but both from the White Album). I only have five Interpol songs in my mix, so I’m surprised that two came up (again, both from Antics). None of my classical pieces came up, and I have a lot of country music, so I’m surprised that only one song came up in that genre (and that it wasn’t by George Strait).

Here you go.

  1. Road to Nowhere - Ozzy Osbourne
  2. Learning to Fly - Foo Fighters
  3. When I’m Gone - Three Doors Down
  4. Mr. Brownstone - Guns N Roses
  5. No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature - Guess Who
  6. Freewill - Rush
  7. I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack
  8. Nobody Left to Run With - Allman Brothers
  9. Comin’ Down - Meat Puppets
  10. Panhandlin’ Prince - Ugly Kid Joe

I don’t know what this “says about me” - my husband says what it says is that “my taste in music SUCKS” - but he likes the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix so what does HE know.

I have to say I’m pleased how that worked, though I’m suprised I hit a jazz song (I have maybe 10) and completely missed Yes

Stop reading.

Who was it that said when people say no offense, they almost always follow it up with something offensive?
