I’ll take one too, **Baker** , if it’s not too much trouble. I’ve included **Dex** in the story (although not as a hero, but the story is still young ;)) as a thank you. I think I also fixed the boo-boo with where Charley was going. Let me know if it’s okay. ---

Okay, Belle has post-partum depression (was that known back then? If it was, let’s assume that Caroline has never heard of it) and is afraid to talk to Doc MacCaulley. We’ve established that the Doc is pretty avant garde (washing his hands, sterilizing equipment, etc) so he can be a bit annoyed that Belle didn’t come to him sooner. We still need to figure out why Sheriff MacTavish wants Jesse. I’m thinking something of a mistaken identity, with the Sheriff being a good man but misguided (or tricked?), but if you think making him corrupt will work better, we can do that too. Thanks for the references, **Baker**. They’ll come in mighty handy! ---

Oh that post was _good_, **ivylass**! Belle’s a strong, vibrant woman, but nobody can be perfect _all_ the time. I’m sure she’ll recover, though, and it would be fun to see her kick ass again, like in the first story. I’m working on a different story reference work, should be completed this weekend if anyone needs it. It’s called “In Order of Their Appearance” and will list the name of everyone that has appeared in the first two stories, the post they first appeared in, and a minimal amount of info on them. ---

Maybe it’s my cold, but I can’t make any of the characters work for me. I’ve delelted at least three tries. I’ll just stick with Nicky until I see how he interacts with the established mains. Don’t kill him yet, okay? He’s piqued my curiosity. Can’t wait to see how he fits in. Thanks for the e-mail, Bread Making Woman. Any easy refs are appreciated. ---

What time of year is it? I think I pretty much eliminated Spring from the running with that question of Nicky’s about flooding, but that still leaves us 3 seasons (plus the variations within the seasons). ---
