We’ve done these before and I think they’re fun. Here’s how it works – if you have a secret you want to share anonymously, send me an email (my username @yahoo.com – remember 2 i’s, then andy, then 4 i’s) and I’ll post it here. Feel free to use an anonymous email address, but I’ll delete your email either way and won’t reveal the source. I’ll post secrets with the following format: NEW SECRET I love to put whipped cream on my toes. END SECRET So send me your secrets! Put DOPE SECRET in all caps in your email subject line. EDIT: I won’t be posting obvious joke secrets, since last time I got so many of those it started to dominate the thread. Genuine secrets only, please! ---

NEW SECRET My shameful secret: I never voted (too apathetic) until I was mid-40’s. What jolted me out of my apathy was the mid-term election (1994 IIRC) in which Newt Gingrich and the “Contract With America” came to power in Congress. I never thought, at the time, that the American electorate, collectively, could have been so depraved. (And look where we are now! :eek:) I have voted in every election since then. ---

NEW SECRET Both I and my husband now work from home. He’s an alcoholic, and starts drinking before he’s done working for the day. Because of the pandemic, I’m cooped up with him and have to listen to slurring, loud, stupid drunk talk for several hours every afternoon. There’s no escape in the house and I’m about to go mad.
