# A new (temporary) forum?

This isn’t probably the best idea I’ve had, but it’s worth posting here for consideration.
There’s a hellovalotta posts in just about all the forums about the election. How hard would it be to create a temporary **Election 2000** forum to move them all to?
This would alleviate a few things I’ve noticed in the last day or two:
1. Multiple, duplicate threads about similar topics (hell, let’s just have a running **Florida is weird** forum).
2. Normal posts getting lost in the shuffle.
3. I’m sure the Mods are up to their eyeballs in moving threads, but having one common place to move them to would probably make their life easier.
Once the election dies down (in early December, I guess), the forum could be locked or deleted.
Any feasibility to this idea?

As we pass through the seasons (including the silly one) threads come and go . . . election ones will be supplanted by Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year’s ones which will fall in the face of the next ones and so on.
