I think the indications of cross-sections probably have more to do with what the viewer brings to seeing them, then in what they actually are. For my part, I’m not on my knees, and sure don’t feel crippled, and I don’t think “the country” is either–that may simply be what I’m bringing to viewing cross-sections, though.
