Traditionally, there’s a reduction in post traffic at this time of year. Everybody’s busy with holiday stuff. I remember a newcomer a few years ago who groused, “Where is everybody? I thought this was The Teeming Millions!” Well, stick around, newbie. Things will pick up. I don’t remember who originally called us “teeming millions,” but it was a humorous exaggeration. We’re a crazy/nice/loveable/maddening/smart bunch of people. ---

I hope I didn’t violate any rules, but when someone wrote to the Votemaster two days ago asking what he could since he couldn’t bear any social media any more, I suggested they come here. If they print my reply, we could get a few new members that way. ---
