# A paper cut. Can't get in my phone and Dillon the demon treed a squirrel. I have fingerprint password thingy on my phone. Guess what? You can’t open your device by fingerprint if slice your fingerprint off with a razor blade (don’t ask why I had my goofy hands on a blade, dumb) Passwords are hard to remember. I have 3 phones to juggle and a tablet and laptop. My life is just so hard. I was pitching the balls for the dogs. Dillon (new mutt pup) decided not to play. He ran to a tree and commensed to baying. Treed a squirrel. Next here comes Bayliss. He brought me a tiny widdle birdy. Alive. Looks like his widdle wing might be broken. My life is confusing. ---

Thankfully, a physician was able to sew it back on. It left me with a helluva scar, which I bear to this day. But at least I still have all ten fingers at their normal length, so I can still play piano and flute. Anyway, I had to be fingerprinted for a federal government position when I was in my twenties. The RCMP officer taking them saw the fingerprint of this finger with the scar, and said, “Holy hannah, this is so identifiable. You’d better never commit a crime.” He laughed as he said so, but it informed me that I have a very unique fingerprint. So guess which finger I use to unlock my phone? The one that anybody else cannot possibly have, or even come close to–the one with the scar. It’s working well so far. ---

Outstanding! I held a door open with my foot for a clolorfull little bird yelling at my boss to stop opening the door. The bird pooped and flew off while I hopped up and down. ---

Doesn’t sound like any fun, sorry. For the future, I recommend (because in my case, I tend to burn fingertips) doing fingerprints from both hands, just in case, especially if you have issues with passwords. Or a pattern/swipe lock works even if you’re down to your very last digit! ---

(Well, I’ve never been fingerprinted by the RCMP, though as a resident alien of several countries I’ve been fingerprinted an awful lot of times for a law-abiding person.) My right forefinger is badly scarred from an accident that nearly severed off the pad. I wondered if it was going to be a problem activating the touch unlocking feature on my computer, but it works just fine.
