Thank you for providing an example, for working to improve your faith from the inside, and for keeping me from turning into a frothing-at-the-mouth Christian hater in the face of people like **His4ever**. The sad thing is that **His4ever** will probably take Jodi’s post as a vicious attack rather than a suggestion and will further close her eyes and put her hands over her ears and scream out “LALALA I CAN’T HEAR YOU I CAN’T SEE YOU SO YOU DON’T EXIST LALALA!” With the kind of bullshit posts **His4ever** has made here, someone ought to fine her for littering on the information superhighway. ---

I just find it incredibly sad that everyday I come to this place I find that people are permitted to keep spewing forth this hateful drivel. I presume the mods wouldn’t allow anyone to say “black people should be slaves, Genesis 9:24-25 says so!” and get away with it yet homosexual posters are supposed to put up with the constant _you are not right_ messages of posters like H4H. It is not H4H I worry about so much as what I see as tacit approval of the bigotry based on one set of interpretations of the Bible. That is precisely what allowed slavery and apartheid to flourish. There will always be mindless fundies, when are those in power going to tell them they are not welcome to post hate here? It is no less offensive than racism or sexism but funnily enough is defended in exactly the same manner as many defend those, with a Bible interpretation. Why is gay bashing acceptable here in this place where ignorance is the enemy? Racists are chased off yet the queer-haters get away with it. I suppose I should just offer a salute to the double-standard ---

Of course **Myrnalene** , my point is that it is the posters having to argue over and over, I just do not see why they should have to. Why do queers constantly have to defend when racists are marched out the door by the banning button? Why is homosexuality up for debate when the arguments are exactly the same as those for believing black people inferior and just as hateful. A racist saying that he/she is right to say X about black people because the Bible says so would not be allowed to keep posting hate yet it is permissable when about queers. I find it incredibly depressing that the mods are not taking a leadership role here and declaring H4E a troll with unacceptable views for this enlightened place. H4E has no interest in becoming less ignorant, that is very evident, allowing H4E to still post here feels hypocritical to me. I am an atheist dyke if anyone wants to discount all my comments. I would hope that the thought of me languishing in hell for all eternity would be satisfying enough for the fundies but no, they feel the need to kick me in this life and the powers that be here allow them to do so when they would not if the word Gay was replaced with Black or woman. H4E is ignorant and a jerk by any definition. I would just like the leadership here to take a moral stand and put homophobia in the category in which it belongs, unacceptable. A small step but a great start. ---

Racists often **aren’t** marched out the door immediately. **JERKS** , those people who seem not to be espousing what they believe to be truth but what they believe will rile people up … those folks are given the Big Foot up The Small Place. Similarly, if **His4ever** were posting as she is to get people deliberately upset, she woulda been gone almost as soon as she started. But as she genuinely believes all those interesting things in her head, she isn’t banned. ---

And the wholesale abuse in polygamous families… reminds me of a quote I read once. There was a team here from England( I think) shooting a documentary. I forget most of it except in an interview one of the camera men said, after visiting the polygamist compounds, “I would rather have my daughter on crack then in here!” I think that goes for H4E’s brand of Christianity as well. ---
