Unfortunately, that’s not the message the MAGAsses are likely to come away with. They’re more likely to consider Graham’s infection proof positive that vaccines are ineffective, if not a government plot to inject Og knows what into unsuspecting sheeple’s bodies. Then they’ll head down to the farm supply store and stock up on horse-grade Ivermectin (none of that namby-pamby human dosage). And maybe take some right off the bat, “just to be on the safe side.” ---

That part is correct. Calling it a “breakthrough infection” is not. A breakthrough infection is contracting seriously symptomatic COVID despite being fully vaccinated. Those events are exceedingly rare. Merely testing positive after being vaccinated isn’t all that unusual. It does, however, likely mean that the individual is contagious to the unvaccinated. ---

I don’t think that’s the way the term is being widely used. You’re quite right. It appears that the expectation is that a vaccinated person should not test positive after 14 days, and any such positive test – symptomatic or not – is regarded as “breakthrough”.
