If McConnell really wants Trump to be impeached and removed, it might actually happen. Amazing to think that this is possible so late. I’ll believe it when I see it, but these are interesting times. ---

McConnell doesn’t care two cents about whether or not Trump remains free to damage the nation, or about whether Trump faces any accountability, or about whether it becomes ‘normal’ for Republicans to say that every election they lose was “fraudulent.” But a lot of corporate donors are saying they won’t support these things. More every day are saying they won’t support members of Congress who support these things. And McConnell cares about that quite a bit. ---
