Nah, what does the OS-G care about some lame-ass federal judge? Gore was a loser, that’s why he lost. On the other hand, it’s nice to know that there are federal judges who are willing to write these things for public consumption. ---

Incidentally, this particular judge has been the beneficiary of Republican appointments throughout his entire career: George W. Bush to his current position, and before that, George H. W. Bush, John Roberts, and Ronald Reagan to prior or concurrent positions. I just find that sort of thing delightful. This isn’t partisanship, it’s observation of facts, and probably a whole lot of frustration with Trump bullshit, the same kind that all other judges demonstrated when they threw out Trump’s election challenges. ---

But there is probably a difference in the daily preoccupations of some Trump/Trumpy voters—some fantasize all day long about the White Man getting his proper deference from all who are not White Men. And others fantasize all day long about being granted immunity from taxation by Republican office-holders who have their back. Some overlap may occur. ---
