The dysinformation about Dominion has surely done the company vast damage. Can a retraction like that undo the damage? Will such a retraction actually save them from a huge lawsuit? ---

So apparently Josh Hawley was going to have some sort of fundraiser in Orlando FL (Why in Florida, I donā€™t know, but whatever). Thatā€™s the absolute only thing Iā€™ve seen on American Thinker that ISNā€™T a seething cesspool of right wing hate and misinformation. The narrative on the front page is basically Fake President Biden is gearing up to make the Hunger Games a reality, and heā€™s coming for you. It should be shut down. If they want to exercise their freedom of speech, they can scribble this stuff on pieces of paper and pass it out on street corners. But they arenā€™t responsible enough to be trusted with a megaphone. ---

It doesnā€™t make it _true_, either: the Galileo Gambit often doesnā€™t work. However, I think itā€™s pretty accurate. At this point I canā€™t think of anything else that motivates most Trump voters, since heā€™s horrible in every way even compared to other GOP candidates, so his _increased_ popularity rather than _decreased_ popularity compared to them can only be explained by the only thing he does better, which is racism. However, it would be more accurate to say ā€œhalf of all American _voters_ are okay with racismā€, because itā€™s hard to say what the views of people who didnā€™t or couldnā€™t vote were. ---
