Good. Even though it’s only tangentially related. I’m going to drop this link here. It’s about the very real ordinary kids who were terrorized by the Wayfair sex trafficking conspiracy theory. The children involved : 1. Had run away and been reported missing at some point in the past. None of them were gone long. 2. Had a last name that was the same as a Wayfair furniture product. The conspiracy theory played on pricing discrepancies on the Wayfair site- some of the products had high prices as placeholders, others were expensive commercial grade cabinetry. The OMG pedophiles! crowd decided that Wayfair was using their site to traffic children….buy a cabinet, get a child. Then they matched the names of the products with the names of “missing” children, and pushed their names and pictures across the Internet, distressing the children and their friends and families. This is a gifted, non-paywalled link for two weeks.
