Slightly tangentially: when Stone first started crying poverty three years ago, I wondered in this [thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/is-roger-stone-really-broke/830332) whether he was just posturing to get his followers pissed off at prosecutors for bankrupting their hero, and that he had money hidden in safe deposit boxes all over the world. But with the advent of this auction, I think it’s increasingly likely that he really is broke. What say? ---
