I’ve seen those! I’ve seen two variations: one with a picture of Biden pointing (with said sticker positioned to be pointing at the price per gallon on the display) with a speech bubble saying “I did that,” and one that just says “Let’s Go, Brandon!” ---

Funny thing is when I see them around the Houston area. This region lives and dies by the oil industry, so sustained, higher prices are economically a good thing for the region. ---

Sub $3 gas is easy to find in San Antonio. Texas might be a resource-exploitation state controlled by fascists, but oh, those gas prices! ---

Here in the Seattle area, it’s hovering around $4 a gallon or just under. We tax the heck out of gas though. ETA: That AAA site says King County is $4.164 which is about right. ---

I remember SoCal before the AQMD. Horrid. You could watch the wall of smog move slowly eastward during the day, until you couldn’t see any mountains anywhere. Stage 2 smog alerts and PE classes held indoors because outdoor exercise could kill you. Yeah, I’ll gladly pay higher gas prices to keep that from happening again. ---

I wonder, if it were put to a popular vote now, whether the majority might not vote for possible unlivable smog in the future by getting a 50-cent cut in the price of gas now. Maybe they would hold out for $1 cut.
