As someone who is neither an accountant nor a lawyer but just some joker on the internet who is willing to spout off on things he knows nothing about, I would guess that the records related to the accounts could be subpoenaed but the ones related to legal advice could not. ---

I asked my wife (Masters in Taxation, former Big 4 partner) for her opinion of the letter. Without specifics, she couldn’t really opine as to how big a deal or not it was. She did point out that the line about there being a, “conflict of interest,” could simply mean that Trump hadn’t paid them for their work, which would be entirely in keeping with the Trump _modus operandi_. 🤷‍♂️ ---
