I decided to Google “Has COVID killed more Republicans than Democrats” and found [this recent study from the Pew Research Center](https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2022/03/03/the-changing-political-geography-of-covid-19-over-the-last-two-years/). Among its findings: > The cumulative impact of these divergent death rates is a wide difference in total deaths from COVID-19 between the most pro-Trump and most pro-Biden parts of the country. **Since the pandemic began, counties representing the 20% of the population where Trump ran up his highest margins in 2020 have experienced nearly 70,000 more deaths from COVID-19 than have the counties representing the 20% of population where Biden performed best.** Overall, the COVID-19 death rate in _all_ counties Trump won in 2020 is substantially higher than it is in counties Biden won (as of the end of February 2022, 326 per 100,000 in Trump counties and 258 per 100,000 in Biden counties). Not sure that’s enough to make a dent in voter patterns, but it does rather confirm the correlation between political affiliation and level of acceptance of normal medical advice. ---

This is interesting, but I didn’t see in the article why these three were removed from the ballot other than a vague explanation that they apparently pissed off the wrong people. Are there any other details available as to why? ---

It’s a little vague, I will admit. Ortagus would have fallen afoul of new residency requirements, but they weren’t passed in time to apply to her. However, the rationale is still that she’s carpetbagging because she only moved to Nashville last year. The other two candidates are similarly pissed off. But if the Tennessee GOP want to have an internal bunfight and piss off Trump in the process. all I can say is “Please proceed”. ---
