She was officially the Token Black Woman. First, she was Director of African-American Outreach for the campaign. Then, she was part of Trump’s presidential transition team, and then was focused on “public engagement” as a member of the White House staff. Her titles were “Assistant to the President” and “Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison”. In those roles, she invited the Congressional Black Caucus to the White House, but they declined. She then went to a National Association of Black Journalists convention in New Orleans, and she was on a panel about losing loved ones to violence. But she got into a shouting match with the moderator because rather than staying on topic, she kept trying to promote Trump’s policies rather than discussing personal history with family members who died from violence, which was the point of the event. She was fired by the Trump administration by the end of the year, with her White House role having lasted a bit less than a year. ---

Yeah, $10,000 per day is a pretty puny amount for someone like T\*\*\*\*. Make it $100,000/day or more. Does anyone know if there are there statutory limits to these fines? ---

As much as I’d like to see that……and I would!, my concern is that it would become ineffective after a point. I’m math-impaired, but, IIRC it would only take a month or two before the fine exceeded all the money in existence in the world. It would be a cool headline - TRUMP OWES LIB COURT ONE MILLION QUADRILLION DOLLARS……but it would be effectively unenforceable. Now, I don’t think 10K is nearly enough to have an practical result. It should be upped to 100K a day, at least.
