So, translating from Trump-ish: when Trump says “can you believe I lost to that guy?” he is not admitting that that is what happened. He is saying that it is so unbelievable that it cannot be possible. He is saying that if you _can_ believe it you are not loyal to him. He (in his own mind) _didn’t_ lose but he’d love to know if you _think_ he lost. He almost managed to get a guy publicly executed for this kind of treason and he likes that. ---
