I read that as Cohen attempting to yank Trump’s chain. “It’s not racist, it’s probably senility.” Hoping to trigger Trump into responding, “I’m not senile, it’s _totally_ racist.” Juvenile button-pushing, sure, but Cohen knows Trump has the emotional and cognitive levels of a seven-year-old. ---
