Thank you, I feel much better now. Actually, it was Bette Midler. And I wasn’t 18 quite yet. Not quite so sad now. I’m a small town Arizona Nextdoor lead. Yeah, I don’t know how it happened either, but surprisingly enough my little piece of MAGA country seems to be shocked silent ATM. If today was enough to silence contrail CT believers, maybe the country has a chance afterall. ---

It appears that all 34 counts are for falsifying business records in the first degree. The indictments all say either “to wit, a Donald J. Trump account check and check stub dated [DATE], bearing check number X, and kept and maintained by the Trump Organization.” or “to wit, an invoice from Michael Cohen dated [DATE], marked as a record of Donald J. Trump, and kept and maintained by the Trump organization.” So It’s not clear to me what exactly he’s been up to. ---

Cohen fronted money to pay off Daniels then set up a shell company and billed the company monthly fees for lawyering that were paid for by Trump campaign funds, the total coming to the $134,000 paid out plus some extra that went into Cohen’s pocket. Each count is one of the checks and the entries for them on the TrumpCo books, all misdemeanors, but they’re bumped to class D felony because they were in the furtherance of another crime, to wit, campaign finance fraud under NY law instead of Federal. At least that’s what I make of it. I’m guessing Legal Eagle will have a video presently. ---

I enjoyed this CBC article for its straightforward account of the present situation. I don’t encourage anyone to actually try this. I can’t remember where I saw this originally, but I saw a crawl at the bottom of a tv show (was it _The Daily Show_? It may have been.) that said that if anyone wanted a full breakdown of all 34 charges against Trump, they should simply google “Donald Trump Rule 34.” I spit a mouthful of Coke all over my cat by accident in an attempt to stop a spit-take/vomit in my mouth combination. ---
