But his lawyers will advise him that this is classic laying-the-groundwork for more harsh measures to be taken in future when if he violates the protection order. He won’t be able to claim he was ignorant of the limitations placed on him by the judge. I look forward to the escalation, because Trump can’t help himself. He will practically dare the judge to take him into custody. Were I in his shoes, I wouldn’t fuck around with this judge like that. ---

I’m either stunned, appalled, flabbergasted, or just sick to my stomach (maybe a combination of the foregoing) about this incredibly lenient and special treatment he’s getting in the court. I’ve never heard of a judge ordering someone to take a fucking class on how to follow the judge’s orders. Here’s the way it should go, and it’s the way it’s gone for everyone else in front of a judge. Judge: You are ordered not to use evidence for any purpose unrelated to this trial. Prosecution, the very instant the defendent violates that order: Judge, the defendant violated the order. Judge: Defendant, you are held in contempt. Bailiff, take him into custody. What the fuck?
