Trump and his team seem to operate on the assumption that if they commit offenses openly, clearly they’re not offenses because if they were, why would they admit it? So Trump can stand up on stage and ask the Russians to hack the Democrats or put clauses in his loan valuation documents that they are utterly worthless, and pretend that this somehow makes it all okay. I keep hoping that at least one of these court cases features as evidence for the prosecution some of these oh-so-clever elements. ---

The general principle with all of trump’s scandals when he was President, and seemingly continuing on with citizen trump, is that he does and says so many horrible things that it’s almost impossible for the media (or, perhaps, the prosecution even) to focus on just one. i’m reminded of a Simpsons episode where the doctor tells Mr. Burns that he has so many diseases that they are all fighting to take control and kill him, but none have been successful yet. “We call it ‘Three Stooges Syndrome’”. Normally when news like this breaks about a company you would expect to see their stock price tumble, but DWAC’s share price didn’t really blip, and instead just continued its slow steady decline. I guess expectations of fraud and corruption were already baked into the share price.
