If ever there was a place for Trump’s “worthless clause” or Sidney Powell’s “no reasonable person would believe what I said was factual” defense this was it. They knew he was lying and were counting on it. That is how they sold their books. If he had told the truth they would have made a lot less money. The question is whether after this any other Conservative figure is going to want to work with them, not that they have shown that at any time their profit from the a book they agree to publish can be yanked in a similar way. ---
