I almost hope that it’s no prison time - but a felony. Then he cannot own firearms, and his own family members have an obligation to ensure that he does not have access to _their_ firearms because it would be illegal and dangerous. ---

In this post-Trump era, I can see MAGAt money taking a LaPierre weapons ban through a series of appeals and eventually to the Supreme Court, which can be fully expected to rule than a weapons ban for convicted felons is unconstitutional. Seriously, especially after the _Heller_ ruling, would this really surprise anyone? On the bright side, both Canada and Mexico would finally be paying for a border wall. ---
